Me and My friend Patty
So my bday was a little hectic, but that's alright. I got a ton done. Got a new driver's licence photo and it's hot hot hot! I look great. We did the best of two shots and shot #2 was rocking!! THEN...got my registration renewed. I set up a playdate for the kids to keep them going and going so that they would fall asleep on time at home.
The plan worked well. After they were in bed. I got dressed in my bday outfit and went out to dinner with my friend Patty. It was quiet, reflective, and purposeful. The restaurant was all lit with candles. It was gorgeous. I talked about some mistakes in this past year and what I want to do to live a "present, conscious" e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y right now. The waitress was awesome and took my raw vegan strawberry cheezecake in the back to keep it cold. She came out with my 2-8 all light up. It was beautiful. Then we took a 20 minute walk in the breezy June night air.
So it feels great to be one year older, one year wiser, one year smarter. I have learned an immense amount of information both about myself and my world...for which I am so super grateful to the universe for aligning the opportunities for which I have grown so much.
I feel crowded with the kids here. I am completely out of my routine. I never would have guessed that kids much older than my daughter with Autism would require sooooooo much attention and time. OMGoddess it's insane. So tomorrow we have different rules..truly we do. I will report how it's going too.
So lesson learned: Enjoy getting older... anticipate it when it's near... love it. Learn...grow...teach.. be taught.. let go. It's beautiful.
