I am going to my first ever raw food event!! My fiances are limited due to recent life changes, but I am super excited to have scrimped to attend my first event! I hope to see some of you there!!!
I was searching and came across this questionnaire and can't for the love and life of me remember where I found it!!!
1. Favorite home-made nut (non-dairy) milk? Almond
Maca Mylk or
Hempseed Vanilla

2. What are the top 3 dishes/recipes you are planning to make? Um... I'm thinking of making
Shannonmarie's "better than peanut butter donuts" with my own version of cream cheese frosting. Alissa's
Spinach/Cheese
Calzones (sprouting the buckwheat as I type), and a huge batch of
superfood cacao brownies.... they transport me to ecstatic bliss in one bite!
4. Most disastrous recipe/meal failure? Everything I make taste great!... NOT!!! I made a terrible avocado/
miso soup. It was
soooooooo horrifying. I couldn't even swallow one spoonful. And all I kept thinking was... "goddess! what a waste of avocados!"
5. Favorite pickled item? I'm going to have to agree, "Raw pickles, of course"
6. How do you organize your recipes? I try not to get too worried about organization b/c I can become a bit of a compulsive freak... I have a cute recycled pink journal by Greenroom Eco. and I just have them listed in there... I go
thru it for inspiration. And I save some in my favorites online. I have scattered post-its in my raw cook books
7. Compost, trash, or garbage disposal? Learning more about composting... just starting out.
8. If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 foods...what would they be? I would have to take Avocados, Cacao,
Dulse, Bananas..... oh wait.... they did say only three
9. Fondest food memory from your childhood? Watching all the women in my family prepare fo
r a Sunday dinner in New Orleans... community, family, laughter. I didn't really love food that much and was pretty much veggie as a child so there are no real memories of the taste of food, but memories of the times we spent together. And now I dream of having a community of friends who love raw food.
10. Favorite raw ice cream? I don't have an ice cream maker... I keep it simple... .frozen bananas/
maca/ cacao/ cacao nibs/ bit of agave... simple perfection.

die without any, but I LOVE fresh basil... and fresh parsley.. okay okay they asked for ONE.

Vengeance.

omni friend? Raw brownies......

18. What is sitting on top of your refrigerator? I have NOTHING of mine on the fridge. My husband has sugary
junkfood cereal (as my daughter and I call it)...
GF breadcrumbs... phone book
19. Name 3 items in your freezer without looking. Strawberries, E3Live, Kennedy's

Kristen's Raw,
Rawdorable,
Wylde and Raw, Raw Goddess
Heathy, Raw Royalty, Raw Model, Raw Faith.. oh wait they said three.
24.Favorite vegan candy/chocolate? Raw Cacao beans and coconut oil blended with frozen bananas and nut
mylk into a
mylkshake..... That's my candy.
25. Most extravagant food item purchased lately?
Vitamineral Green Powder
27. What is one recipe, ingredient or cooking technique that you've become familiar with in the last year that you can't imagine you ever lived without? I really got into sprouting big time. As we speak I am sprouting
wheatberries and buckwheat... it's
sooooooooo inexpensive and has so many health benefits.
28. Do you have a food inspiration in your life? Someone who taught you a lot about making a certain dish, or about food prep in general, or someone who taught you how to truly enjoy food? It can be someone you know or a book author, speaker...anything. Being from the South, my family was very communal when it came to cooking. This is why it so difficult for me now in PA with no family and hardly any friends around... I am always force feeding people when they come into my house! I was taught that eating is a social affair intended to be filled with love and fun. I am inspired by almost all raw recipe books and
ebooks.... these wonderful raw food
bloggers....and aspiring raw foodies. .
So there.. I hope you feel you know a bit more about me... I've been kinda revealing lately huh? :) I'm somehow missing a few questions (i.e. #16, #26)....oh well. Fellow blog goddesses do share your answers. I would love to read them!
